Information Basehome handles

• Account information: your Google account identifier, name, email address, profile image, and sign-in session information.
• Google connection: access and refresh tokens, their expiration and permissions, calendar names and identifiers, your household’s selected calendar identifier, and identifiers of task events created in that calendar.
• Household information: tasks, assignments, recurring schedules, completion history, categories, groceries, meal plans, notes you submit, reference values, attachments, and preferences.
• Service records: vault action logs, including the acting member’s email and action details, plus technical request and error logs used to operate and troubleshoot the service.

Google Sign-In and Calendar

Basehome uses your basic Google profile to identify you and check household access. It never receives your Google password. With your permission, it reads your calendar list so a household calendar can be selected, then creates, updates, and deletes events for Basehome tasks. Event requests can include the task title, date, assignee, category, and a Basehome task identifier.

The selected calendar and its connection serve the shared household workspace. Actions by approved household members and scheduled recurring-task generation can update that calendar. Connect a calendar whose use is appropriate for everyone in your household. Google’s embedded calendar view loads directly from Google when you open the Google tab; Google controls that view and its Google cookies.

Basehome uses Google data to provide these features. It does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI models. Google profile data, OAuth tokens, and Calendar API responses are not sent to the optional Gemini features. Basehome’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Who can access information

Approved household members share household information, including reference items and attachments. Marking a vault value sensitive masks it in the interface; it does not make it private from other approved members.

Basehome uses Vercel for hosting and private file storage, Neon for its database, and Google for sign-in and calendar integration. When daily digests are enabled, Resend processes the recipient email address and task information to deliver messages. Support and privacy emails are forwarded by ImprovMX to the operator’s Gmail inbox for handling. These providers receive data needed to perform their respective functions.

The operator may access information to provide support you request, investigate security or service problems, or comply with legal requirements. Human access to Google user data is limited to your affirmative consent for specific support, necessary security purposes, and applicable legal obligations. Basehome does not sell household information.

Optional AI features

When you request AI assistance, relevant text is sent to Google Gemini. This can include notes you ask to turn into tasks, category names, grocery text, ingredients, meal details, dietary or cuisine preferences, and family size. Generated results may be saved when you add them to household lists. Requests are processed under the terms applicable to the operator’s Gemini API service. Avoid including information you do not want processed by that service.

Storage and protection

Basehome uses HTTPS, authenticated household access, application encryption for vault values and notes, and private storage for attachments. OAuth tokens are stored in the database so synchronization can continue between visits. The vault is not end-to-end encrypted: the application can decrypt values for authorized members.

Your browser stores sign-in cookies, theme preferences, and static app assets. The service worker does not save household pages or API responses for offline use. Signing out ends access through your app session; it does not revoke the separate Google Calendar authorization.

Retention and deletion

Household records are retained until removed using the app or through a request to the operator. Unpinned completed tasks are eligible for automatic deletion after 90 days; pinned history remains until removed. Deleting a recurring series preserves completed history. Deleting a reference item removes its attachment records and requests deletion of its stored files. Vault action logs are retained separately from deleted items.

Account information and Google connection tokens remain until removed by the operator. You can request deletion of your account, tokens, or household data using the contact below. The operator will confirm which shared records your request covers. Backups, service logs, and delivered messages may remain for the relevant provider’s retention period or where legally required.

Your choices

• Revoke Basehome’s access from your Google Account connections. This stops future authorized access but does not delete information already stored in Basehome or events already created in Google Calendar.
• Choose the connected calendar and change daily digest preferences in Basehome Settings.
• Edit or delete household records in the app, or request access, correction, or deletion from the operator.
• Use household features without requesting optional AI assistance.

Contact and changes

This policy applies to Basehome at basehome.app. Updates appear here with a revised date. If Google data will be used for a new purpose, Basehome will provide updated disclosures and request consent before that new use.
